The most personal project. Five years ago I checked out and decided that I was done being an observer and decided to be a participant. For a while, I traded my studio tan for living on the seat of a bicycle. I pedaled 10's of thousands of miles along the continental divide, through sounthern california deserts, slept in bathrooms in montana, made laps around new mexico and arizona, across swamps in florida and sub-zero winters in canada. Going over the horizon line. Running out of water. Planning so things don't go sideways, and learning to laugh when they inevitably do.
